You don't know what you've missed. Obviously a blighted childhood and you should take it up with Social Services!! Thanks for the Birthday wishes, managed to get out (just - as Shanklin was the coldest place in Britain last night and is headed that way tonight, -9!) and have a spot of lunch with my first glass of wine for nearly two years!! Now run more…

I used to love Dingbats. I had a set. I'm not sure if you have a timer and have to guess as many as you can before swopping over? I had a book with them in too, sadly long gone. I'm rubbish at them now.

Thanks for the good memory, needing it right now!

While quoted I two honey sources in my reply to you, you will see from my opening paragraph that I am aware of the larger economic concerns within which, bees have a core function.

There has been a large amount media exposure of the subject of bee demise. It ranks quite high, along with crops failures, re-designing the use for food more…

I've read about this in recent months. As you say it is potentially very worrying. Unfortunately it's something that people in general will ignore as it doesn't appear to affect them.
One of my allotment neighbours has several hives on his plot and I will ask him about this when I next see him.
    Take care. xx more…

There has recently been a reduction in the amount of honey coming into the shops, even from local suppliers. Experts say that some of the contributors to the bee problem (viruses and parasites) have not yet come over from the continent due to our climate BUT that in the next few years as our climate starts to change we too will see them appear. And more…

I have followed this global concern about bee diseases and the loss of colonies; the economic impact it will have if bees are not around to function.

There are bee keepers where I live who sell their honey, not on a large scale. There has been a little local worry but I haven't heard anything further. I wait to see if the honey stock more…

I wouldn't mind but listening to the company that owns the site they have basically taken back everything they wanted to change except the pensiond for new employees. Surely it is a company's right to change working practices for employees that may start in the future. It is a totally unneccessary strike; it benefits no-one and everyone involved is more…

They never think about anyone but themselves whatever they might say! It's always ordinary decent people who suffer. One way and another they're all at fault, including the government. Let's hope that it gets resolved quickly so that it doesn't escalate or drag on.

I'm really sorry to see that you're having such an awful time at present. It happens, and when it does it all seems to do so at the same time or with one thing after another. I'm sure that it will change and improve soon. Clearly the continuing bad weather hasn't helped and when that ends, as it will, then that will undoubtedly help.
